In a stunning revelation, Michael Cohen’s mystery — third client was revealed on Monday in court.
Remarkably that client was none other than Sean Hannity
CNN reports how it went down in Judge Kimba Woods courtroom:
After a lengthy back-and-forth, the judge ordered Cohen’s lawyers to identify the third client, who Ryan said had asked to remain confidential and was told it was Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Naturally, Hannity’s involvement with Cohen broke the internet yesterday
However, last night Alan Dershowitz went on the Sean Hannity show and gave Hannity a proper schooling.
Dershowitz pulls no punches from the start — telling Hannity:
First of all, Sean, I do want to say that I think that you should have disclosed your relationship with Cohen when you talked about him on this show. You could have said just that you had asked him for advice or whatever, but I think it would have been much, much better had you disclosed that relationship.
Hannity, appearing shocked, interrupted Dershowitz to defend the indefensible.
Hannity shot back, “Do you understand the nature of it, professor? I am going to deal with it later in this show. It was minimal.
Dershowitz was not deterred:
You should have said that, and that would have been fair to say that it was minimal.
Hannity went right back on the defensive, interrupting Dershowitz again, “I have the right to privacy!”
Dershowitz, still undeterred, plowed forward to the chagrin of the Fox News host:
Right, but you know, it’s a complex situation when you are speaking to millions of people…
Hannity seemed to reel back, aghast that his credibility was being challenged interrupting again, “Professor it was such a minor relationship.”
Dershowitz did not give an inch telling Hannity:
Then you should have said that.
Nearly anyone who knows Alan Dershowitz has watched his bizarre metamorphosis from a liberal attorney into a champion for Republican talking points. And even more of a shill for Trump’s talking points.
But even Dershowitz could not contain his ire at Hannity’s lack of ethics
The news that Hannity only used Cohen for real estate dealings, as he states in the video is irrelevant…
Unless they were in Russia.
What matters here is that Hannity failed to disclose the fact that he not only knew Cohen personally, but had sought his legal counsel.
Hannity does not get to go on the Fox Entertainment Channel for the mentally unbalanced and spew hate for Mueller and Rosenstein seeking Cohen’s records when he was one of Cohen’s clients. Hannity literally has given Cohen hours and hours of positive coverage, not to mention all the shameless praise he has given Trump since the primaries. To not mention that at all to his viewers is malpractice, plain and simple.
It seems reasonable to wonder if the only remaining superhero for the Fox viewers will be taking a prolonged vacation.
Moscow is supposedly lovely this time of year.
