Robert De Niro dropped an F-bomb on Trump as he introduced Bruce Springsteen at the Tony Awards on Sunday. Video of the bleeped-out moment went viral, and many a Trump supporter expressed their massive faux outrage. The same folks who love the official Trump Doctrine, “We’re America, Bitch!” are “offended.” Now, just a day later, De Niro was in Toronto, and rather than apologize to the audience for his crystal clear opinion of Trump, he apologized to all Canadians for Trump instead.
At the groundbreaking for Canadian Nobu restaurant, De Niro said:
“I just want to make a note of apology for the idiotic behavior of my president.
“It’s a disgrace. And I apologize to [Canadian Prime Minister] Justin Trudeau and the other people at the G7. It’s disgusting.”

The heartfelt apology comes after Trump somehow managed to piss off and insult Canada and their Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, a man who continues to be much admired by most Americans.
After imposing a new tariff on Canada, arriving at the G7 summit late, leaving early, failing to sign the G7 joint agreement, and suggesting that Russia is included next time, he Tweeted that Trudeau was “very dishonest & weak.”
An always polite Trudeau had said the tariffs were insulting and that he would not be pushed around by Trump.
In both of De Niro’s appearances, the audience cheered. It’s safe to say that a majority of Americans would like to join De Niro in apologizing for Trump’s behavior toward our wonderful neighbors to the north.
WE ARE SO VERY SORRY. Every. single. day. ~Sincerely, Most Americans.
