Danald Trump Jr. has been in the spotlight for his meeting with a Russian government lawyer, a Russian lobbyist and a Russian money launderer. In addition to daily stories in the news, Don Jr. has a new cover story in People Magazine.

Trump Jr. Wants It To Be Over

The story comes as the scandal around the meeting intensifies. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office is said to be investigating the meeting as part of the probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. The People story is titled “Inside Trump Family’s Turmoil Amid Russia Scandal.”

The story says that Don Jr. is having a  “harder time adapting to life after the election”  than Ivanka. The source says that is in part because Ivanka has a role in the White House and also because she has “always been” the favorite child.

A source close to the family says of Don Jr. “Don can’t do any deals because he’ll be overly scrutinized. He just goes to work every day and is miserable.” The Source says “You can’t bite the hand that feeds you, but he [Don Jr.] can’t wait for these four years to be over.”

Family Dynamics

The People cover story takes a look at the dynamics of the First Family. The tone is clear. It shows a family terrified of their patriarch. A family friend told People that “loyalty within the family is insane.”  Adding, “They would never speak against their dad.”

A source with business ties to Donald Trump said that “[Trump] doesn’t like failure and mistakes, and he doesn’t accept them.” The source continued “You have to justify your existence to be in his realm.”

Don Jr. his brother Eric and sister Ivanka say that the family is driven by their father’s central guiding principle, win at all costs.

Don Jr. can’t wait for these 4 years to be over, and recent polls show that the vast majority of the country agrees.
