Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren slammed conservative efforts to bring religious judicial activism to the Supreme Court on Wednesday during an appearance on Fox & Friends, drawing a vicious temper tantrum from Fox News viewers.
Earlier this week, President Donald Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to fill retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy’s seat. Kavanaugh is hostile toward abortion rights, and that has conservatives foaming at the mouth over the possibility that Kavanaugh will be the vote on the court that strikes down Roe v. Wade, the 1973 landmark ruling that determined women have the right to choose an abortion if they want one.
Reversing the decision would allow red states to criminalize abortion, which would result in women and doctors going to prison and women dying in an effort to get back alley abortions.
Religious conservatives are particularly obsessed with this, and they expect Kavanaugh to rule based on biblical views instead of the Constitution, something Lahren, who is pro-choice, ripped on Wednesday.
“I believe that Judge Kavanaugh is a constitutional conservative, not a religious judicial activist, which is exactly what we want,” Lahren began. “My problem is with some of my fellow conservatives who have put it out there that we are ‘coming for Roe v. Wade.’ That is a mistake. Because we are putting it out there and implying that we are sending a justice to the bench to carry out religious judicial activism, which is a mistake and is unconstitutional. And if we as conservatives are going to imply that, if that’s going to be our messaging, we might as well spit on the Constitution. That is not what we stand for. If we are not going to uphold the Constitution on its merits, who will?”

Fox News viewers were not happy with what Lahren had to say, so they attacked her on Twitter like they attacked her for defending Roe v. Wade earlier this month, with many accusing her of being a liberal or of having had an abortion herself.
Tomi I’m sorry you had an abortion, but you have to forgive yourself and stop saying crazy things.

Yea that is where I am at, she either had an abortion or she is super close friends with someone who did and can’t bring herself to recognize the horrific decision made.

I’ve support Tomi’s positions regularly, but this time she’s wrong. Just wrong.

Following the constitution would require getting rid of the unconstitutional Roe vs wade decision.

I’m absolutely shocked that Tomi has no idea what she is talking about, nor about the constitutional basis for overturning Roe. No one is arguing this based on religious conviction. Don’t pretend to speak for conservatives on this Tomi.

The liberals are projecting again b/c THIS is exactly what they would do if they were picking a SCOTUS nominee…it would be a person who rules by politics & hate of religion & not by law of the constitution. @POTUS @realDonaldTrump

Just more examples of how conservative “Christians” turn on other conservatives for having a difference of opinion that isn’t in line with their strict ignorant beliefs.
