Rather than offer sympathy to those who lost loved ones as a result of the mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida earlier this week, President Trump decided he’d spin out a conspiracy theory about why it happened in the first place.
Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign – there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!

The FBI admitted that it had received a tip about alleged shooter Nikolas Cruz but failed to pass the information along to the agency’s Miami field office. But for Trump to try and connect the shooting and the Russia probe is classic misdirection, and it does nothing to support the families and friends of those who perished in a hail of gunfire.
Reaction on social media to Trump’s tweet was swift and harsh:
He’s literally using kids as a human shield. How out-of-control-dictator of him.

We are proud of the FBI. We are not proud of a president whose jealousy of a previous president is so evident. We are also not proud of a president who tries to use the death of 17 children as a political pawn. #sad

There is no bottom for you, is there, sir?
— Brett Doar (@brettdoar) February 18, 2018
Only YOU would use the bodies of dead school kids as a shield. How pathetic can one human get?
Wait! Forget I asked. I’m afraid you’ll show us.

Stop spreading blame, Donnie. The simple truth is that had he not been able to buy the gun he would not have shot those people. BTW, the word is “conspiracy” and they’ve proven that Russians conspired to adversely effect the governance of this country. Money well spent.

Very sad that you lifted the bill outlawing people with mental illness to buy and own guns. Very very sad. How can you look in the mirror? How do you sleep at night?

Stop using this tragedy to deflect from your Russia ties! This is despicable!!
