President Donald Trump thinks the assassination attempt of several high profile Democrats is a nuisance that the media should stop talking about in favor of talking about Republican “momentum” ahead of the 2018 midterm election on November 6th.
Throughout the week, the MAGAbomber has targeted 22 people who are critics or political opponents of Trump, including former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, former Vice-President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Attorney General Eric Holder, former CIA Director John Brennan, Senators Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) actor Robert DeNiro, CNN headquarters, and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
Our country has not seen an assassination effort like this since the night President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth, who conspired with a group to assassinate Lincoln, Vice-President Andrew Johnson and members of the Cabinet in 1865.
After initially condemning the bombing, Trump is now casting doubt on the validity of the threat, posting a tweet in which he puts the word “Bomb” in quotes and whines that the media is reporting on that instead of Republican early vote “momentum.”
Republicans are doing so well in early voting, and at the polls, and now this “Bomb” stuff happens and the momentum greatly slows – news not talking politics. Very unfortunate, what is going on. Republicans, go out and vote!

Again, a domestic terrorist is targeting Trump’s political opponents and critics with crude explosive devices through the mail. That much is clear. And rather than do his job to keep Americans safe, Trump is more obsessed with propaganda and maintaining his grip on power.
As for Republican “momentum,” the polls still favor Democrats, and Republicans merely have slims leads in red states they are usually expected to win in any way. Democrats are also still favored to retake the House and will likely gain seats in the Senate.
It should also be pointed out that Trump is complaining about the media not reporting on polls even though he has often referred to polls as “fake news.”
Twitter users refused to tolerate Trump’s whining and promptly took him to the woodshed.
We don’t need anybody who attacks the FBI in power at this time. Republicans like me are voting and donating to the Democrats because they stand for law and order. It’s a movement. #RepublicansForBeto pic.twitter.com/ggkt80eR9F

These bombs represent the largest ASSASSINATION attempt in our nation’s history. An attack against *any* former POTUS, VP, Secretary of State, Senator, CIA Director, Member of Congress, or Director of National Intelligence is an attack against ALL of us.🤬https://t.co/e75IoBd7Ec

This “bomb stuff” came about because you told people to do this: https://t.co/3foIQBtNDB

This “bomb stuff” is the attempted murder of 2 ex-presidents, 1 ex-vice president, 2 former 1st. ladies, a sitting member of congress, a renowned actor and a building full of people.
Trump was outraged that Mitch McConnell was harassed out of his spicy tuna roll. #MAGABomber

This “bomb stuff” is #MAGA come to life as Trump’s Militia.
Dirty tricks & election interference is coming from every direction—Russians, right-wingers, White nationalists & now #MAGA domestic terrorists.

Dear Republican voters: When #Trump stood before you at his rally in Wisconsin, on the day when 8 bombs were found, he bullshitted you when he called for “civility.” Over the next 48 hours he’s acted like the biggest uncivil asshole in history…

JUST IN: The President of the United States describes bombs sent to two former presidents, numerous Democratic political leaders, and major media outlets – all of which he has provoked hatred of among his cult at his Nuremberg-style rallies – as merely “‘bomb’ stuff.” pic.twitter.com/lsJdITN9W6

This is a god damn disgrace. The President of the United States is now whining about how it is inconvenient for Republicans that their political opponents are being sent bombs while hinting at a conspiracy theory. https://t.co/OjFra8MIDr
