After yet another mass shooting at a school — this time in Santa Fe, Texas, where 10 people were slain — the National Rifle Association (NRA) immediately began trying to spin the tragedy as being the fault of everything and everyone except the lax gun laws in the United States.
NRA shill Dana Loesch wasted no time posting a video on Twitter in which she attempted to blame gun violence and mass shootings on the media, declaring:
“The media has got to stop creating more of these monsters by oversaturation. I’m not saying don’t responsibly report on things as they happen. I understand it. But constantly showing the image of the murderer, constantly saying their name, is completely unnecessary.”

Loesch’s comments are almost as ludicrous as the ones that came from Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick (R), who said having so many doors in schools was the reason children keep dying:
“There are too many entrances and too many exits to our over 8,000 campuses in Texas. There aren’t enough people to put a guard at every entrance and exit. You would be talking 25, 30, 40,000 people.”
Yeah, let’s only have one entrance and exit on every school building. Then when a fire happens, we can all sit back and watch as thousands of students attempt to evacuate via one door. What could possibly go wrong with such a brilliant plan?
Karma met up with Loesch and the NRA on social media. Take a look at some of the responses to Dana’s posting:
Rest in hell Dana!
You’ll have plenty of company from the @GOP! 😉

That is not what is happening… Can you provide messaging that is not mendacious? In fact, MSM have attempted not to use his name, but to focus on solutions, including something you avoid like the plague: #GunControl.

The NRA is complicit in the murder of school kids. Plain and simple.

The #NRA – proof that enough lead can make anyone stupid

The media has created these shooters by reporting the news? Guess we need to be an uneducated society then. Stop diverting the blame. We all know what the real problem is, and what the solution is.

It’s not the news media. It’s not doors.
It’s the easy access to guns.
NRA promotes this all the time. pic.twitter.com/mAhquhrcxO
